This Wednesday I went to Sindbad, the new restaurant in 3rd Street. It is tagged as Pakistani and Indian Restaurant. The dishes are pro-Pakistani, much like Zahra in Carlisle Pike.
The Spread
- Chicken Biriyani
- Plain Rice
- Chicken Korma
- Chicken Haleem - I did not take this
- Chicken Paalak
- Beef Nihari- I did not take this
- Chole Masala
- Bhindi Masalan
- Vegetable Masala
The Good
As this is not a typical Indian Restaurant, the taste is also different. The highlight is the Biriyani. I liked it very much. Naan would be served on table. I tasted Vegetable Masala and it was ok. I made Mehul (my veggie friend) go and taste the spread. He said it was ok and different. The customer service is good.
The Bad
No Tandoori. That really ticked me off. They had plans for getting the tandoori in, but I don't see that in the near future. The Haleem and the Nihari are the dishes I don't like. I had tasted it before and I don't like the taste of it. So I had very few choices. I am going next Thursday with my buddies at work. Let me see whether they change the spread.
The Ugly
There is nothing ugly about any food. :)
Price
$8.99 on weekdays. Weekends - not sure.
